First case of Omicron in Kerala, total 38 cases in the country

The first case of Omicron has been reported in Kochi, Kerala. Kerala Health Minister Veena George told that the infected person had returned to Kochi from UK on 6 December. He was found positive in the Covid test conducted on 8 December. At the same time, the report of his wife and mother has come positive.

All have been shifted to the isolation ward. Passengers sitting near the infected person in the plane have also been informed about this. A total of 3,777 new cases of corona have been found in Kerala today and 34 people have died.

At the same time, today the first case of Omicron has been confirmed in Nagpur, Maharashtra and the third case in Karnataka. New Omicron infected have also been identified in Chandigarh and Andhra Pradesh. With this, now there have been a total of 38 cases of Omicron in the country.
